But would it be necessary to still enforce the transfer of one party to another branch or the exit of one party from the organisation when work is virtual?
Some benefits as I see it:
1. Persona attracted to each other at work will most likely spend more time getting to know each other better before taking the step to become physical.
2. Stronger bonds would be created resulting in more long-term relationships.
3. There should be less sexual harassment claims and thus reduce payments to settle lawsuits.
4. Men in positions of power may become more open to the idea of mentoring women virtually as virtual sessions can be recorded by either party, plus the additional safety of distance in the virtual office or afterwork drinks.
5. Could also result in less extra-marital affairs resulting in stronger relationships at home for those who are in committed unions.
6. Less hours at work physically to be with the office crush = more time at home with spouse.
